The Knicks closed out the San Antonio Spurs 94–90 in Game 5 to win the Finals 4–1 — their first championship since 1973. In a run that came to define resilience, New York rallied from double-digit deficits in all four of its wins, including a 16-point hole in the Game 5 clincher. Jalen Brunson dropped 45 points in the finale and was named Finals MVP, writing his name into Knicks history alongside the franchise's all-time greats.

It began as one fan's bold prediction from Jamaica, Queens — "My mayor's Muslim, my bagel's Jewish, my Christian Dior, Knicks in four."
